Enoch Bolles :: pin-up advertising

We don't often see the  pin-up work of Enoch Bolles in vintage advertising and here is a very nice example.

This advertisment for Zippo lighters originally appeared in the Christmas 1937 edition of Esquire magazine. The caption says "She passed the fan test" after apparently being able to light a cigarette on a windy day whilst calmly keeping her skirt in place as it is assailed by the very same atmospheric turbulence.

Fritz Willis :: pin-up advertising

We don't often see the "advertising" pin-up work of Fritz Willis and here are some great examples.

"Trend" was pretty versatile as it could do the dishes, wash that flimsy lingerie AND make sure your nylons sparkled!

George Petty :: pin-up advertising

We spotted this George Petty lingerie commercial for Bestform recently in Greenwich Market, London. It was just a page torn from a magazine but we couldn't resist. Petty produced a whole series of commercial work for Bestform - we believe this one dates from 1944.
